Barbara Loth was born on January 14, 1957 in Duisburg / North Rhine-Westphalia. She studied law at the Free University of Berlin.  Barbara Loth first became a lawyer in 1987 with a focus on employment law. At the same time, she worked as a research associate at the FU Berlin and later also at the Humboldt University in Berlin. In 1991 she moved as a judge to the Labor Court Berlin. 

 
Klaus Höpken was born on August 14, 1955 in Brake (Utw.).  He studied anthropology and law at the Free University of Berlin from 1975 to 1980. He then worked as a research assistant, later several years as a lawyer in the law firm Finkelnburg, Clemm & Partner in Berlin.  Since 1983 he has been admitted as a lawyer in Berlin. In 1986 he founded his own law firm. He has worked as a notary since 1996.  In the period from 2003 to 2005 he was managing director of a real estate and management company mbH.
